Yep - so verified on the Flying Yam's color code sticker as well.

So - Monza Red morphs into Persimmon Pearl. :D

Or - is that 'OhMy Red-B-Gone?' :P

(Scratching head how dat could happen - even through the UV-blocking smoked plastic mini-fairing)

EDIT: Hey - check this. Apparently The Flying Yam has some same colored siblings:

And here's another clue from motorera.com:

"Non-Monochrome red paint.." (I ASSume meaning: 'Ese! Dju gayt beeeg rrred forr seex month, dayne it go Hasta Manana!"

Could be why - for the next 7 model years - HondaSan-Mayheeco only offered black and white.

Good buy... Got an 80 in my garage right now that im working on for someone (busted belt). There isn't much, if any aftermarket available for them, but one of my friends use to own one and he fitted/welded a shortened FMF Powercore silencer from a TTR-90 on it, long story short it was pretty loud, but felt like a different scooter! The acceleration and top speed were crazy! I dont remember the exact changes when compared to stock, but I can ask him and let you know.
2003---Suzuki V-Strom 1000
2001---Yamaha WR 426 Supermoto (CA legal)
2002---Yamaha Vino
1999---Honda Elite S
1996---Honda Elite SR (Only 4.7 Orig. Miles)
1989---Honda Elite E (FOR SALE)
1987---Honda Elite SE

Yeah, not much aftermarket, I know. 'BattleAxeSkooter' (name changed to protect the guilty :P ) sells a muffler rig as well, I believe.

I'll tellya, I'm pretty happy with the stock exhaust note and performance. I haven't had the scoot above 32mph, but it seems she'd be happy above 45 as is. With the local riding I do, 25-30 is about all I can manage. But that could change.

Sure - if you can find out some info, I'm all eyes.

Thanks!
