My scooter runs great, except when starting cold. It will idle, but once you give it gas it just dies. But, once you manage to get it up to full speed for so much as an instant, it runs perfectly. Am I just completely inept at controlling the air/fuel mixture, or is there something bigger here? I don't think it could be the bystarter, because it takes a significantly longer time to heat up, and the scooter idles fine if i manage to get it running quickly
Please help, this is my senior project and it would be embarrassing if i made assurances that it ran perfectly and then it died when i gave it any gas
Thanks!!
Help!!

Full speed is about 8000 explosions per minute, pretty hot eh? On my old Kaw F-11 250 you kick it and the second it catches flip the enricher to run, it will not run right with the choke on no matter how cold it is.
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.

I'd do that, and clean each part with spray carb cleaner, or dip carb cleaner
