Most of this info you get simply by TALKING to the guy
IF he actually lets you compression test it, test the battery, he would have to be a VERY generous seller imo
Seeing as ad says it runs well, if I was selling it and you came over and wanted to compression test it I would be * and not on good terms.

lets worry about this when you actually have itjzambon wrote:Sounds good, I'll start from $500 and hopefully we meet somewhere in the middle.
If I do get ahold of it, what fun should I do first?

Whoops! Sorry. My humor got the better of me. It's not you; I'm stricken with a strange word mangling disease.jzambon wrote:GN2 = Castrated Injector Oil?GN2 - or a close equivilent (Castrated INJECTOR oil)
Thanks!

What I meant to say is:
Honda GN2 - preferred.
Castrol 2-stroke INJECTOR oil - a close second.
Bottom line: DON'T use dime store 2- stroke lube. Not good.

That depends on what you mean. You want your fun in what you do with it?... Or to it?... I'm retirement age so don't ask on the first question. I can only say we got two Elites, his and hers.jzambon wrote:If I do get ahold of it, what fun should I do first?
The owner may be PO'ed if you ask him if you can test compression, but I bought a bad one because I didn't, and am now overhauling it. A road test doesn't tell all, and once the deal is done, there's no guarantee. When buying a car, I often ask if I can take it home overnight. My favorite salesman always allows it and in fact insists I take it home, and he knows what I will do, like compression test, etc.
