help with my 84 areo

hey all,I have looked in the tech pages and thanks for all the great info. but my 84 areo is getting me down. it won't stsrt unless I use starter fluid. the electric start has not worked in 3 years, I took it apart cleaned everything and charged the battery and now it works, the scootwants to start the first crank, then it just dies, and will not run unless I use starter(ether) spray. I have the carb cleanedand I think I have it adjuted well, I get around 39MPH, and she climbs hills well.

Clogged bystarter circuit or malfunctioning bystarter. Re-clean the carb paying attention to the VERY, Very, very, very tiny little bystarter port/jet.

There were some really nice pics of this recently if you search Bystarter.
There's also a nice sequence on bystarter dismantling in Tech Docs.
