Easiest to work on.

Post by robthorn »

Which small Honda scooter is the easiest to work on? Aero50, Elite, or Aero 80? I'm returning to scoots after a 20 year hiatus (former owner of a small Yamaha), and looking for an easy DIY scoot for repairs/upgrades.

Yeah, the Elites seem to have the most parts options, etc.

As far as working on them, I have not noticed a big difference in working on any of them.

any 49cc 2stroke is super simple to work on.

even the 4 strokes arent bad. but 2 strokes are easier.

Sprees, elites, aeros, there all awesome.

NE C-Bus suburbs (Gahanna to be exact).

So given that most trips here are 8++ miles and daily (since bus service is sketchy here), will a 50 cc stand up to the rigors of being a moderate-distance daily rider? I've been using an old Honda C70, but its reliability has started to taper off, and I could use some newer wheels to share the load.

My 50cc Spree is my daily rider and it is holding up just fine. Keep gas and oil in it and you should do great.
