I have been reading a lot of these posts and a lot of the problems being listed are ones that mine had. My problem turned out to be a clogged exhaust. If you do not have enough exhaust then it will only idle, ore run rough. To find out if it is the exhaust unhook the muffler and see if it runs. If it does pull the muffler and clean it, you can tap the side and flush it with water as long as you run it immediately afterwards to dry the muffler out.
