You are supposed to take the guys wallet for that sort of thing.
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.

I have been looking, not seeing yours yet, I'd say they stole it for the money, or they would be riding. Pends on there color, hate to say but its true. If a white guy stole it, kiss it good bye. Any other will be out riding with no care in the world. If you find them don't bother calling the law, city won't come, just take it back and be on your way. If thing go bad, call 911 and say shots fired.

LOL. I went and looked at the craigslist one... I'm trying to scrape the cash to buy it. That... is the CLEANEST and I MEAN CLEANEST bike I have ever laid eyes on! It wasn't mine for SURE... But just so you know, it was a black man who stole it.

We will find it then, its out riding somewhere with a new owner or the friend of the criminal.
I was not born that way, the town I live in made me that way, send your hate mail to someone who gives a s***.

Cops show up fast when you end the call with "I HAVE A GUN!"

I have to add a comment here. As a former P.O. in a city that borders on Detroit, DW's comments are not really that far off base. Street justice rules. They did it to you, and chances are the police will be busy with higher priority calls when you call for stolen asset recovery. Just one piece of true advice: Don't try to recover your Spree by yourself. Have at least one other person there for back-up and to watch your back. Nobody cares when you get ripped off, but dude may have a few friends when you go to "rip" him off to get your bike back.
What would you rather have in an emergency, 911 or .357?

When we found mine, it took lots of help of friend (cell phones) cops never came. We over powered them and took the scoot back. It could have been ugly but we used are heads and won. They know cops won't come so must be smart. DW

I have a firm belief it's at 1760 Ring. If anyone recovers it I will offer some kinda reward to deal with those *.

Do you have a phone number for the guy? How did he contact you to buy it? Email , cell phone? If its the cell phone, could you have the police track the number for you, to see who the owner is?

Oh yeah I know. Guy came to test out the Elite today, I made him leave his wallet and keys behind with me. He was digging for a card for me and I couldn't help but notice he was loaded, I figured $400 meant nothing and he would have bought it. He was just a tire kicker... lol

these days when sellling a scoot you tell the buyer you want their license + car keys or full amount deposit in cash, if they don't agree say bye !bye!
some people dream of speed, i own your dreams!
