Honda Spree Big bore (Have one thanks to tazland001)
I Recieved a big bore kit (which by the way is top of the line quality)
Just thought that i would give some results while breaking in the piston and rings
1984 honda spree
Bone stock other than big bore kit
Results so far
Low end has improved dramatically
And though i havent gone to WOT I believe that my bike will hit 35 on flat ground with me (240 pounds) on it.
Will Post more results as i continue to ride the bike an make a few more upgrades after breaking in this kit

What are you running for jet / intake?
Have you played around with the pulley yet?

You need a #95 on a stock bore with a pod filter.playabarz wrote:95 jet with a free flow uni filter
Have you tried running a smaller jet with the stock intake?

no not yet but i happen to like the uni filter however as posted before on another post it made it quite louder. I do think that i need to get a tuned pipe for it however im not really all that great with my math anymore. But i did email keith, so all i need now is to get my figures off the jug to make the proper pipe.
Search on "highway speed pipe," you can adapt a pocket bike pipe much easier than building from scratch.playabarz wrote:no not yet but i happen to like the uni filter however as posted before on another post it made it quite louder. There's a posting on ordering jets from Honda using the Honda parts code.
Couple of things on this. If you're using the stock intake, I don't think increasing the jetting to #95 would be necessary, maybe up to mid 70's? You'll need to play with this and do some plug chops.
Also, you should, with this kit, be running some amount of oil in the gasoline to supplement the factory pump. Maybe a capful per tank or so should do it. That's what's done on 65 cc kits for early Elite.

Yes, cap of oil + the oil pump running. That's what I'd do as a start, based on reports from Elite. Note that I haven't built a motor like this myself. Here's a link on ordering larger jets from Honda. You can also drill your own, or ask around here:

You'll need to do some plug chops with some new spark plugs to see how things are going in the combustion chamber. Report back with what you find, it will be of interest.
