Hahaha..I've been playing with this idea too! Anywho, Yeah I would go with the horizontal engine! That vertical engine looks gross in the ruckus. I've seen some guys welding brackets to the frame like they did with the zumacks. The top of the head would have to go through that floor board under neither the seat. The head comes pretty close to your butt, so having that lowered seat would be out of the question.

If your going with a ruckus and you want the two-stroke power, I would say swap the zuma or the mineralli.

But a Metro with a dio motor would probably be a better idea. (that what I'm working on right now)

Are we 100% sure this case is aluminum?

It's definitely going to be a Ruckus and I want to toss in a highly upgradable 50cc 2-stroke motor. The obvious candidate is a horizontal Mineralli, but I really want to keep it all Honda. Maybe I'm just being silly here....but I really want to hop up a Dio and I want to engine swap a Ruckus so it would sick to do both at once.

Right now, this Dio creation isn't sounding like a good plan. Unless it the case ends up not being aluminum, or if I can somehow find a long case version of this motor then I'll likely need to shelve this idea.

Are the older (AF05??) Honda 50cc motors aluminum as well? I might be open to using a motor from an NB50/SE50/early SA50.

I wanted an all honda motor swap too! Well, there is this one engine I wanted to find some info on but haven't found anything on the internet. Well I was out in Mexico last year and saw a scooter that was pretty much everywhere. When I was looking at the exhaust it look like it was a 2-stroke motor. Getting to the point, I saw a Honda Beast 100cc.

I couldn't find anything on the internet about this scooter. But I remember seeing it.

Hmm.....I guess it's welding aluminum or nothing then. Actually I could try bolting the case back together by making some sort of a frame/brace for it but that sounds really ghetto. I'm going to do some research into welding cast aluminum.
