I'm actually the guy behind this website 8)

That's an excellent site; I have it bookmarked and refer to it frequently. Though it's told from a Canadian point of view, it's still a handy reference.

Is that a pix of you standing next to the white CH80? You still own it?

Nice pictures....thanks a lot for posting them. Can I use 1 or 2 on my website? (www.motorscooterguide.net)

I came across another Elite R today on the Vancouver Craigslist. The seller claims it's an '86! Here are some pics he sent me:

Honda did a really nice job with the decals/badging on these! They look super cool.

Thanks for the kind words.

Yup that's me standing with the white '86 Elite 80. It's actually my brothers scoot. He still has it.

I try to make the website applicable to both Canadians and Americans. Most scooter websites don't have info on the Canadian market and it often differs from the USA market, so I try to mention when there is a difference in the product offerings. Just when I think I got it all figured out, stuff like this Elite R comes along. I still need to add info on this to my site. Right now it says that Cdns never got the SE50.

Thanks for the good word! Go ahead, use whatever you need on your website. I could also email them.

For an '86, it sure looks like mine... I think I saw an identical one (red/white) on the "post your photos" thread, a guy from Nova Scotia if I remember correctly.

Thanks for permission....I just spend 4 hours re-writing my SE50, SB50 and SA50 pages to correct a lot of stuff, improve the writing and include mention of this scooter. You'll notice a couple of your photos here:

Wow! Good job on that page! My scoot can now be seen by the masses...hehe!

By the way, the red pinstriping around the grey stickers must have been done by the first owner of my scoot, it does not look original.

Thanks again.

Well, I removed the pinstriping to replace it since it was damaged, but looks better without, so will leave as is. I also tried to make the sun-burned plastics look better with Armor-all but did nothing, used baby oil and looks great...LOL! :P
