Should i drill the Baffles on my 1988 Honda Pal/Elite E?

Does your Spree/Elite already run great, and you're trying to make it quicker/faster? Need a monster motor swap? Discuss your ideas here.

Should i drill the Baffles on my 1988 Honda Pal/Elite E?

Post by pasha1 »

It's a Canadian Honda Pal 50 and i'm wondering if it's worth it to drill out the 2 baffles in the silencer. It also has the variator on the crankend and i'm also wondering if it's restricted>

Thanx.

Unless your pipe is clogged with carbon, I would not drill the baffles out. It will just make your scooter louder and will not add any top end. Now if it is clogged with carbon it will help dramatically.

A good cleaning is all you need. It might be restricted, but I doubt it, have a look.
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.
