Kickstart problems

When ever I use my kickstart it freezes in the spot of where my foot left it and I have to move it back up myself. It never did this until my previous problem any ideas. thanks for your time.

sounds like the gears are grinding/shearing off. check it out before it gets worse. guaranteed to be the half-ring gear.

i had this same problem back in the day with my 1979 kawasaki 175... haha
anyway, it turned out the the parts were gettin rusty and not slippidy slidin like they should, time for some cleanin
