Isn't everyday one can claim a sales price equal to every penny of profit. 8)
You did quite well - plus you have the satisfaction of knowing the buyer is getting a super reliable bike owned and loved by somebody who truly cared.

As you say, you might stumble onto another great Aero deal one day. They're darn nice lookin' scoots, eh? :D

Sorry to see it go. I remember joining this site when I was looking to buy an Aero out of a guys garage. I read all your posts and that particular picture got me super pumped. I always admired your Aero. Good price though. At least you didn't have to let it go for like $200 cause of a bad situation.

I can't believe it. I think you guys would sell your wife and kids if the price right. Every time I ride my scoots, I get a thrill. I was running my son's dog today, through the cemetary and met this guy on a Harley. I feel sorry for the guy. He just don't know how much fun a scoot can be. Sell one of them? Nope! Not until I get 1/2 dozen or so anyway.

I was there.

I had the following....
01 Kymco ZX50
96 Honda Elite S
91 Tomos Targa
89 Honda Elite E(sale pending)
84 Trac Image(Sold to a friend of mine)
78 Sears Freespirit(traded for a better FreeSpirit)
77 Sachs Sparta(Traded for parts for my Tomos)

Now the Sparta and the Freespirit where both broke down when i bought/sold them. So i didnt have a hard time seeing them go. Plus the Freespirit i got in the trade was in better shape with a great running motor, Hard to turn that down. The 89 elite E is a total POS that hardly runs. Its really fun to beat around on, but allmost all the plastic is gone, and the plastic remaining is ziptied together. Altho its fun its not worth hardly anything. I have a guy i know offering me a killer deal. As soon as he comes up with the money, that bike will be gone.
The only one i have sold so far that was hard for me, was the Trac. I love that bike, but im broke and it needs some love (new tires, new chain, new rear shocks). A friend of mine showed up at my house and we talked for a long time about it. He not only had the cash to buy, but the cash to fix it up and give it the love and care it needs.

I hate to see them go. But i guess what it comes down to is ill take quality over quantity. :(

I understand. I may sound harsh, but in reality I realize there does need to be an upgrading improvement in the Remuda. AND... Part of my goal is to buy, clean up and resell locally to promote scooting in our small town. We've got a lot of retirees in the area who need rejuvenating and school teachers who have weekends and Summers to play. I'm now talking to a teacher who is interested and her parents are interested. That means I've got to find 4 good scoots before they succomb to the Chinese. And then my wife has the plan to have a scoot for each of our children and spouses. Now you see why I call it a Remuda?

I do have a SA50 junkbasket I am wondering why I bought, but it's the acclaimed Dio which everybody thinks is the tops. But this one will take a topend overhaul and still has junky plastic, which is the hardest to find. It will probably become a rat for the woods.
