how wide is the idle jet orifice?

Post by thermarest »

I've soaked the carb for a couple of days and I'm trying to un-block the idle jet. It still seems blocked but I'm not sure.

Is it wide enough that I should be able to slide a needle all the way through? When it is clean will I be able to see a pin-hole of light through it? Or will it still look totally black? It seems to be really clogged and right now I think its the only thing keeping my spree from running...

yes, you should be able to see light through it, just a tiny opening.

I was able to slide some fishing line (or floss) through it, try that. A needle will probably be too big.
projects galore :nerd:

Try a #80 drill bit from a hobby shop as a last resort.
