Post by grafittijunkie »

get the k&n oil spray and spray a light coat on the filter.its to trap the real small dust.

Honda recommends 80-90w gear lube for their foam filters IIRC, uni recommends their own oil, I use 30 weight non detergent lawnmower oil on everything.

I don't know how essential the type oil is to a scooter, but on my mowers, I saturate with whatever motor oil is handy, usually 10W40 and then squeeze it out. Whole idea is to compromise between sponge filter and the old oil bath. Anybody remember them?

Any motor oil will do, the thicker the better. I have even used 2 stroke oil. Just get it soaked and squeeze it out, then squeeze it in a rag to get more out.
