Spree Big Bore piston ring installation

The 44mm big bore kit for the honda spree doesnt include any directions on which way you put the ring on. Were the ring is slit the edges arent parallel they look like a "v". Any help much appreciated. Thanks

the ring pin should be offset to one side of the groove
