Yeah,I've got a SB50 shock(common up grade).It has a stiffer spring,is about 1 3/4" longer, that much more travel too.Easy swap,bolts right up.Can sell it to you $15 plus shipping.Carp

Yep, SB50 shock, bolt in inch or 2 extra.
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.

What are the specs for the Spree shock? I.E. length, bolt size, bolt mount width.gspreesea wrote:Anyone above the weight limit as well who rides a spree and knows of a shock you can sub in there

Re: Spree Shock substitutes??
I had one of the sb50 shocks on my spree but it made the bike bounce like crazy every time i hit a bump. But the honda ruckus shock makes the spree ride really nice.
Re: Spree Shock substitutes??
OH Boy this is my specialty. OK i have put a Honda CB750 shock on mine and it rocks i had to make a little mod to the airfilter and the mount on the bottom to make room. here is a pic of the mod

what do you think, i can jump off curbs and do dirt trails without it bottoming out.

its a 75 cb750 shock. just get one at any motorcycle junk yard that has the same connections. but yes the craftsman air filter is the easyest way to do it. you have to restrict the filter (its too good of a filter, i covered 3/4th of the filter with masking tape and that did the job. but you may need to play with it.
