Could I do this on my 1989 Honda SE50?
I got pretty much the same exhaust.

Thanks

I'm sure on any exhaust it could work, but i may be wrong, and you might need to upjet to make up for running lean.

Ok, well if anybody knows for sure that this will work. I'm going to try it on my scoot :)

Cleaning the muffler will have the same effect.
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.

How deep are the holes drilled? Just thru the outer skin, or thru the rear and next baffle? I don't see how just thru the outer skin would do anything much less pull 10 mph out of a Spree.

I agree with bear. Drilling exhaust wont even get 10 mph out of a Dio!

As I mentioned before, I drilled four inches into the muffler and yes it is MUCH louder. Also, my scoot would barely hit 25mph prior to drilling holes. Now it cruises right up to 35-37mph per the speedo. I'm 160 lbs and 5'8" tall if that helps.

No other modifications have been made to the spree. I'm also not saying it will work for everyone, just happened to work for me. :D
