Hey, I was wondering if anyone has found a better carb that'll fit on the Spree
I made a ram air for my Spree, it actually works, but gives to much air once i get going, so i taped the intake to make it work. But without the tape on, it woul go approx 25mph with quite a bit of throttle left, but if gave more throttle it would bog. Thats why I need a different carb, or will a different jet to the trick?(btw i'm on the richest jet setting)
I really want to make this thing go alot faster, or when i turn 16, she's gotta go. SO, anything to help me get near 40mph? over 40? I've got 20 days.

i don't think there's much chance of getting it over 40 without some sort of engine swap.

I concur with D to tha izzle. Do a poor mans Dio which is the SE/NB 50. I would actually be cheaper than trying to make you stock Spree motor hit 40. You can probably do up to 60 with big bore kit, gears, variator, and exhaust. 40 can be achieved with just the swap and a variator.

I'd love to swap in a dio, but where i'm at, scooters/mopeds are hard to find cheap. and i cant find any parts scooters. I guesse i could buy one from the states, but that wouldnt be cheap.

If you removed the air box you leaned the engine out. So you need a bigger jet. FYI the exhaust is a restrictive as the intake system. Improving one with out improving the other accomplishes nothing. 40 with the stock engine is not gonna happen, ever! A really fast Spree with a big bore kit and SB50 intake is gonna see 35 max, if you are lucky. You want 40, do the dio or sell this one and buy a faster scooter. FYI, ram air will give you at best an 3% power increase and for most 1% if you are lucky.

Can you clarify the term "ram air" if its a scoop that is mounted on the fan shroud that will only cool the head and if rains will ruin the stator, if its a scoop on the carb then you will lean and fry the piston, the turbo kit on ebay is only for 4 strokes
some people dream of speed, i own your dreams!
