More Questions (sorry for floodin the board)

hey what does the airspeed screw do. also i think i might be runnin a little lean. ( i have barely any acceleration and NO visible exhaust comes out.how could i fix that if it is a problem? also i cannot get it started at the moment without starter fluid( right now my auto bystarter is jacked) but shouldnt it start if i put a seal of some sort over the hole? *cough* MORE DUCT TAPE!!*cough*.
