auto bystarter issues

ok 2 quick questions.....

1. should my spreee be INSANELY hard to start and only start with starter fluid without an auto-bystarter?

2. what affect does the air speed screw have on the engine?(dont say it adjusts air-speed)

starting w/ starter fluid is normal if there's a time period of a few days between starts. however w/ daily running it should start pretty easily.

i need starter fluid even between a couple hour gap of riding. keep in mind i have no brass pin in my bystarter just the bystareter stuck in there to seal the hole.
