Holes in my Muffler?

Alright well some dumb * who had this scooter before Honda spree nq50 86 Took a drill to the muffler and put 3 Holes in it under the side cover thing that has holes wich covers the holes up? * will this hurt the bike at all? And a question can i seal these holes with something i can buy from the store i dont want to weld it..

he was trying to increase power by drilling into the muffler. didnt do the best of job, but you can clean up around the holes, and try and mix some JB Weld toghether and fill over the holes.

I dont have a welder or know anyone who does and it could cost alot of money at a shop..

You have no idea what a new muffler cost do you? Try getting some large diameter sheet metal screws, as short as possible and put the JB Weld on them and screw them into the holes. You may have to start the screws in the holes, back them out, then cut them off and then install them with the JB Weld. Oh and wire brush the metal around the holes shiny before you install the screws.

Thanks that's what i will do.. I was gonna clean it up anyways and get some Heat resiestant paint and paint it lol =D
