Kick stand kill switch

Post by beep »

Is there any easy way to elimate the safety switch that only allows you to start the spree when it's on the kick stand. It's been causing electral problems. Stalling for no reason ect.

I know a few people with sprees, and I honestly have never seen that before. Everyone I know can start whenever. Got me on that one!!!!

Never heard of a safety switch on the kickstand for a Spree. No such thing! The only safety feature is that you have to hold the brake lever in for it to start. If you have something like that in the kickstand it was wired in somehow from the previous owner.

Not standard, apparently a mod. That may be why you are having electrical problems. Most safety switches and kill switches function on grounding or shorting out. If you can find the connection, simply unplugging it should solve the problem.
