Bosch Spark Plug

Post by f2x phantom »

hey guys, i heard that getting a bosch super platinum spark plug is a good way to get a spree to run better. Does anyone know the number code of the bosch spark plug for the spree? or where i could find the answer to this?

also, my spree tops out at about 28 mph on flats. i weigh about 140. i heard that drilling a few holes in the muffler helps performance? can anyone second this and say whether or not its a good idea to do this?

thanks alot

Yep, they always tell you that. However, none of these guy have to pay the extra money for the plug that will never, ever improve the performance of your scooter. As long as you have the correct reach and heat range plug in there, the cheap one is as good as the extra expensive one as far as performance is concerned. But it is your pocket book. The smart money is on what the manufacturer recommended.

The only thing I find platinum plugs good for is old 4 strokes that use lots of oil and foul out easy. Have a pile of used ones that I run in the log splitter with a homemade spacer.
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.

NGK is all I put in my Japaneses stuff period, and all my motorized stuff is Japanese, except maybe the 92 Camry, not sure where the engine in that was made. I run champion plugs in briggs motors, just seems right.
