muffler drilling HELP!!

Post by f2x phantom »

ok, so my spree usually gets up to 27 mph...and on a good day, it will get up to 30...and i've gotten it up to 33 twice...but i wana be able to at least get it to 30 easily, hopefully 35...so 2 questions:

1.) SHOULD i drill a few holes in my muffler for better performance??
2.) IF i SHOULD, then could sum1 help me out and provide sum detailed instructions on where to drill the holes and how many(preferably with pics cuz i dont know wut stuf is called...if no pics, then describle wut it looks like and wut to drill around...)...my muffler is still attached to my spree and would like to leave it there...

If anyone knows wuts up, lemme know, thanks

1) look around this forum for details. use the search feature.
2) dont drill holes in your muffler. you want to drill out the baffles inside the muffler.

Drilling out holes in the muffler will have the same effect as if you were to clean out the carbon of the muffler. I would start with cleaning it first...

your hopes of tuning a moped without taking parts off are slightly unrealistic.

roll up your sleeves, scour the forum, and prepare to get dirty. clean out your pipe, do the intake mod, etc. if you don't mind sub-par acceleration, the pully mod and/or belt mods may be for you. keep at it, you'll be going 30mph all day no problem. but you will have to get a little dirty.

best of luck, any questions, just ask  (but search first)
