i`m using a sock as an air filter, i`ve put about 2,000 miles on the spree using the sock, this probabley isnt a good idea is it?

Dude, buy a real filter. There's no excuse for using a sock as an air filter.

it wont destroy the spree, the most you would be doing is sucking in some lint. Possible causing a carb clean. But a sock will not filter well at all. It is a good idea to just buy a new one. They are about the same price as a pair of hanes.

With socks there is that possibility of sucking some lint into the carb. I would suggest getting a lint shaver to get all that lint off of the side that is facing in. lol

Yeah, don't use a sock! use a piece of a shirt like I did! lol, just buy a new filter.

i used to use a rag to get it to run good before i had a filter.and it was faster too.
