attn. Tuners

Post by mookie »

is there any help for a Yamaha SH50- performance wise?
these are the non-variated models and are good for about 32 mph -about on par with a Spree. i have 2 of these models both with low miles and cosmetically in excellent condition.i now have 10 scooters that run. all but one are 50cc 2 strokes if i count the SA72...

Why not ask this in the Non-Honda section?

the principals of two stroke tuning apply to all two-strokes. tear it apart, go to town. i vote for big, nasty exhaust ports and a custom cobbled pipe, some form of free flowing intake...a bunch of spark plugs... and a source for jets... worst case, you'll have to ride one of your other 10 scoots till you figure out the magic setup.

yeah it is. a weedy little excuse for a powerplant.
i have two Jogs with the vertical Minarelli?? one's an 86 or 7 and the other an 88.
the 88 runs really good. the little motor revs out sweetly and buries the 35 mph speedo.maybe an engine swap is in order.

I gotta disagree on this one, Ben. Bear is being helpful as the proper Forum section for this question is indeed the "non-Honda". A visiting Lurker with Yamaha expertise would be more likely to check that Section. :werd:

That said, the Razz was the Spree's most direct competition as an inexpensive but durable little ride. However not nearly as many sold, so the Aftermarket and knowledge base for performance mods may not be even as extensive as a Spree's. Spreetard's suggestions are spot on. However I don't think many here have direct Yama-knowledge.

Helpful my *. This is a Honda Performance Technical Forum and he is asking about a NON-HONDA which has it's own forum. Why on earth would you ask about a Sears washer and dryer on a forum that is for Maytag washer and dryers? You are the non-helpful one by supporting stupid actions. The trouble with your kind is you think you want anarchy but you have no clue about how anarchy works. You would last less than 10 minutes in an Anarchical Society.
