Newbie, found an Elite
Hey guys, I just found an old Elite that I'll be getting for free to fix up and work on as a project. I haven't seen any pictures of it yet, but found out it's blue so far lol. I should have pics in the next few hours. I was wondering what are the major concerns on these to look out for when they have been sitting for awhile. It's basically been garaged for a looooooong time. More to follow soon......thx!
Re: Newbie, found an Elite
Found out it's an Elite 80. Don't have the year yet.

Don't mind him.
Elite 80's are their own thing. No speed parts, but with 80cc are nice to have on roads. Typical 45MPH top speed. Parts are plentiful.

Any ideas on the year?

well, they were made part-for-part exactly the same for nearly 2 decades, weren't they?roadie114 wrote:Any ideas on the year?

Look on the frame for its tag. The year, S/N and other info is listed on it.
I'd rather be riding my Aero!

Seems we went down this path once before not long ago. The 80 is one of those things that some love and some hate. Personally, I always love a freebie and a challenge... until it begins to cost me.

That could be anywhere between 1985 and 2007.
1994 BMW 525i 5 speed BEAMER TIME
1983 Yamaha XC 180 - Bought barn fresh in mint condition and 254 miles. Best bike I ever owned
