Hey guys, I have an air leak in my Aeroped that I cannot seem to route out. My brother said it cut out and stopped running on him when he was riding it, but was able to nurse it a mile home with the choke on (it has a CRF50 manual choke carb). It will run with the choke on full, but put it on the middle setting and it bogs and open it just dies. I'd just put the Ruckus variator on it with nice results as well, so this is puzzling. The bolts for everything seemed tight, and the reed block/intake mani is pretty glued on, I couldn't even move it, though I didn't try super hard.
So what should I check for problems? I have good fuel and a good fuel filter, new plug in it, and less than 3,000 miles on the engine. I suspect the carb because it's from a CRF and who knows the condition, but I don't want to replace it with a bystarter equipped carb because I like the simplicity of manual choke. So help me out, any suggestions?

Re: Mystery Airleak
hmm doesnt seem carb related actually, unless are you certain something with carb/intake area has changed? try to inspect closer
check engine compression too, new plug and try different filter options
