i hope you did more then just that one spot??? kingkamehameha is doing a block you shod read more of his stuff and find the other ones he did ..
bakaracer im not going to by tools that have only one job ................ and i use a chicken foot puller to brake the case as well yes i my brake one some day but o well i dont need another tool that set in my tool box i have only use 2 times ..
or pay a shop 80 dollers a hour to do it from me.. im smart anuff not to do this fast it a slow and take it ezey thing..

I got everything back together, put it on the bike and did a compression check. 65psi
i'm convinced that it's the base gasket. i'm gonna put the stock bore back on and see what compression i get. if it's good i'm gonna order a new gasket for the 51mm bore.

i put the stock bore back on last night. compression is good but she wont start. i checked for spark and fuel and she's getting both.
any ideas?

it may be too rich if you still have the large carb and intake on there

Double check again. If your getting spark and fuel and the compression is good,it should fire right up. If it doesn't then one of those is bad.

Double check again. If your getting spark and fuel and the compression is good,it should fire right up. If it doesn't then one of those is bad.

if the plug is to wet no it wont start ... air mix need to be close to start ..

plug isn't wet so that shouldn't be the problem i wouldn't think.

i wood prim it ..if your set leen it will help it start... a little exter gas is not going to hurt ..
