Oh OK. Yeah, I found out it didn't work when I wanted to go bigger. Ordered a 3.5x10 Pirelli SL26 for the rear, and a 3.0x10 for the front. Changed the tires and then found it just got stuck lol so I went 3.0x10 front and rear.

well the rain stopped and I took the GOOCH out for a spin. had it up to 56 with temps around 330 on flat. as I was pulling back into the shop I noticed that my rear brake was a bit soft(new pads) so I coast it in and stop and let it run and notice a strange blue smoke coming out of the pipe and it didnt smell of 2stroke. so I shut it down and it continued like a smoking gun would. anybody have any thoughts? I checked for any blow by of oil around the motor and its still clean. when I stopped the whole pipe was steaming pretty oldly. Ive had it out in the rain and it has done that but its dry here and I know I didnt hit any puddles.

Burning off residue from old fuel/oil in the pipe from running it rich?
Muffler packing tends to "burn in" also if its a new pipe?

Old pipe and it could be old residue. Thought it would smell like 2t oil but maybe not. Did notice it seems to be louder reaching a diff resonance in my ears atleast.

I second old carbon deposits in the pipe. New resonance could be a different rpm your running at, or your silencer packing is dried out and old.
New brake shoes? Are they malossi? Ive read those aren't that great til they get warmed up....a few good stops.

Yeah gonna torch the header and see might just have to figure out a way to get one of g9s pg longs and bite the bullet. The pads were working ok a bit noisy then they were almost nonexistent tightened em up and will see what happens. Only have about 10 miles on em. Not overly concerned about that.

Took a torch to the exhaust to try to burn it out and after 20 mins I let it cool and took it for a spin. Seems to run a bit better but I'm sure a good fire would really help it out. Temps never got passed 320 and It sounded better. Not sure if the initial burn out helped but it's definitely better than it was. gonna ride it home and see how it goes. If i get time tonight I will get a fire going and burn it out.

Thanks but ran great home different sound coming out of the pipe. Think the first burn did most of the work. Got it up to 340 with no fire coming out the pipe. Need to do some tuning now. Running a 102 main and not sure if it needs more fuel or air right now. After 1/2 throttle I gets a really deep howl out of the carbs but doesn't really do much. Seems to run best at around 1/2 throttle to get up to speed.

Hi RCS. I give it about an hour. Or until it doesn't smoke anymore. Lol

Seems like I read something about bringing your pipe to a radiator shop and having them dip it in some sort of tank. Ive never had a pipe long enough to accumulate any build up

This one is an old one g9 had around so not sure how many miles it has on it. There were a couple old bbqs at work maybe I'll get one going at some point. Kinda busy this week haven't been able to do much. Just hoping to ride it into town this weekend for "the one motorcycle" show. A great custom motorcycle show in town.

Went on 20 mile ride about last night. Even though my pipe might be partially clogged and it's not tuned right. This corsa rips! Got temps up around 380 though going up a long steep hill. I had to let up as I was going as wide open as I can go to see how it did. Needless to say even after letting up I was still easily able to go 45ish. With this pipe once u get up to 45 it turns into a ninja bike! Maybe it was the 1:30am empty street cold weather ride but d*** it was great to be riding again. once I get the exhaust burned out I think it will open up a lot. Currently anything passed 1/2 throttle is just noise. Even with half throttle it's a rocket.

Only hit 380 going up Barbur and it had to be in 40s outside but basically all up hill from Ross island to the top of Barbur. Atleast 2 miles of uphill grade. And it was still pulling when I shut it down. Needle buried didn't gps so not sure but atleast in the 50s. If it wasn't so cold don't think I woulda got quite that high. Gonna upjet the main and see how it runs.

Greetings:
Actually, 380 after a long uphill pull is where you wanna be. Upjetting gives some insurance, but it's going to smoke more and lose power, particularly when the weather turns warmer. Plus you run the risk of depositing carbon in the head, exhaust... I really wouldn't sweat 380 unless it was climbing steeply.

Not steeply but it was climbing and I had along way to go. I'll upjet if it runs worse I'll change back. Honestly I need to burn the exhaust to make sure its cleaned out. Still seems a bit restrictive. But this hill is my make it or break it hill. As I will use this road very often. Its a beast! And the speed limit is 45 so I need to be able to run it hard if I get stuck at the light at the bottom and need to get the rpms up.
