Yeah, guys. the overhang is to be on the fan side to aid in cooling. Parts diagram is for parts....Honda service manual is gold. Its doubtful that the Service manual shows a picture with the head on backwards. But I must admit, I did chuckle a little bit when they referred to the Glove Box as a "Grove Box" on page 11-9....

I need to find some new haters...the ones I have are starting to like me.
The reason to mix 32:1 is to make sure there is enough lub. At 50cc there is enough, maybe. Read the stock pump is 50:1. That seems too little even for 50cc. Now, at 68cc there is
even less oil. Reconnecting the pump gives more oil. Perhaps averaging about 20:1. In the way back it was common to see 16:1. using SAE 30 oil. This leads to carbon fouled plugs
and excessive carbon build up in the combustion chamber. I use24: 1 to test run to be sure everything is lubed. then switch to 32:1 when everything seems fine.
Leave the pump disconnected and use the 32:1.

Larger main jets for spree carb are available from Honda all.you do is change the last couple digits of the part number to make the jet size you want. So the 68 jet part number will end in 68, change to a 72 and that's the number for the 72 jet. Simple

The stock pump ratio is Believed to be 70:1. Lots of machines from the 80s ran really slim ratios and some ran rich oil ratios. The 84 honda odesesy ran 20:1 but the Yamaha G1 golf cart runs 150:1 injection for 84.
