Here's another piece of the three-wheel ancestory.......Ariel prototyped several in the 70's......BSA got their hands on it and couldn't follow thru.......so, patent owners found a taker with Honda.......result,.......gyro......here's pic of the Ariels......note:...pedals and one-legged fork

Just a current pic of the track bike.....note the spray from last time out.....we will be invading a vacant shopping mall Saturday morning at 10 am.......then at 2 pm MAYBE over to our regular spot at the approved and legal church parking lot.....struggling to have a dedicated track here that will attract more riders........it doesn't matter if I'm the only gyro racing, but it would be swell to have 2 or 3 others for some head-to-head competition......... :urban:

Sold my pair of '84 gyros... :geekdance: ...time for new set of rears......here's a shot to show how little tread actually usable on these.... :surprise: ......not exactly a bargain at $25 a pop......2-ply--15X600X6--Kenda--Multi-Rib...if you see something this size by a different builder with deeper tread, I would appreciate a shout...no complaint with grip....they work hard until the ribs are gone,.....then after that, they break loose early with the same entry speed......I was eyeballin' the 8-inch wheel/tire combo at Northern Tools wondering if all that extra circumfir....circumferan......diameter would kill the take-off too bad for street use....I know what it would do for top end....mind you, this is only a consideration for the Gent Bent bike...not the racer.... ......off to the track tomorrow....mall thrash postponed due to accesss confirmation at the church....we like the church parking lot a bunch......thats where the gyro racing shots are all taken............. :urban:
