Won't idle? I don't want to go through the 9 pages of thread to check, but did you clean the crap out of pilot jet?

he said he cleaned the carb, but the pilot jet is easily missed if he doesnt know what to look for.

to clean your pilot you need the smallest guitar string, carb clean, some compressed air.

Pilot jet??? I split the case removed all the screws float rubber threw it into a container full of carb cleaner let it sit overnight then blew an entire can of cleaner thru it blew it out with compressed air the more it runs the better it is getting. sometimes it won't start but if you walk away for awile 3-5 min it starts right up

tiny little brass tube that sticks out like the main jet tube, but its about a quarter the diameter. runs parralell of the main jet tube. you need a guitar string of the smallest size to be able to get it through the hole. that gives you your fuel for idle.

I was looking for that but I didn't notice it. I seen them on different carbs before, I wouldn't think it was missing. :?

if your scooter is starting, im sure it is not missing. the pilot jet getting cleaned is worth enough to remove your carb to clean it.

i got this picture from this forum and labeled pilot jet. that will give you all sorts of issues.

Did you clean the hole in bowl out good too? pic borrowed from http://www.hondaspree.net/phpBB3/viewto ... f=5&t=8786
If it's clean you will be able to go into a very dark room and shine flashlight down the hole and see the light at that small hole in bowl.
