Also the seller drilled a bunch of holes in the frame .No biggie I don't think it's worth filling them in , you might be able to use them for something like drink holder or ???

Update :
Removed oil tank / cleaned / got the sh@t out of it ... looks like new ...
got debres out of fuel tank . see pic.
repaired floor board .
wash out fuel tank w/ vinegar.

OK today...
Finished tanks
Cleaned and stripped old paint off plastics .
Painted muffler & straightened .
took off some of the wiring that will be in the way for painting frame .

The Maltese cross would look cool as a nice sticker.....not that carved-in shet......you are the man, 66six.....taz was worried the rear fender was too far gone, but you've got it at least looking salvagable......

BAD NEWS ...
Because they have to re-cut and shape the foam and I asked for red pieping w/ red stiching yours will cost $80.00
To get mine done in black $60.00 and just the bottom of another $30.00
I am going to get mine done ...
So waiting on you ... what do you want to do look for a used one or try E bay or go the $80.00 your call .

The plastic above the battery is really a pain sand ... re sand ... sand again ... and again
Its really hacked up ... but perhaps it can be covered with some red vinyl ? or a decal ???

Fenders ...
I have some questions ....
I tried some special vinyl paint that seems to work quite well .
But only painted the inside of the fender as a test .
The problem is I tried and tried to get as much of the black paint off as I could .
But there are some light black streaks that just wont come off .
All in all the fender is not in bad shape .
I still can't belive I didn't buy this bike .

The guy that is doing my seats is a good guy and I asked him if there was a cleaner
that would bring back some of the color to one of my old seats .
He told me to just re-paint it w/ some paint he uses ...
Told me what to get and where to get it ...
