Is it possible to put a Met front wheel on an Elite?

Looking at some of the posts that seem to be related to this question, I don't think it is without transplanting at least forks & brakes.

The 2009 Gray Met Rear Wheel is $68. Thanks for the tip!

Beyond the wheel and tire, what else would be needed to install the Met rear wheel on my Elite?

A little muscle. You have to angle the.wheel a little more and it helps if you don't have the tire fully inflated.

You need the 94-01 elite 50 brake hub to use a front met wheel. I haven't tried forks yet. They may fit the neck but will the wider triple fit without hitting the inner fender...

Tried the met triple in the sa50 frame today, it is too short. If you are willing to cut and weld, it can be done but it is not bolt on.

When the Met stem is fully inserted into the sa50 neck, it is flush on the top. Picture of the two trees with stem length comparison:

Was able to get a Met rear wheel from eBay and bought a new tire from Motorcycle SuperStore so at least that will be taken care of. I'll worry about/figure out the front end later maybe.

Is there anything in the way of Japan domestic only that's desirable that I should look into? I lived there for a long time and still have lots of friends there (motorcycle friends) that I could probably leverage for some parts if I knew what I wanted. Just curious....

you have just moved to an entire new level of Scooterdom. The dio live is a desired front end. Everything from the rim to the head unit. It has several options for aftermarket forks nd comes with honda disc brakes (several aftermarket upgrades available too).

step one .. get it running and home...
step two ... ride it all summer..
step thee ... read and dream of what you want to do to it in the winter..

if you skip step one and two you may not have anuff time to ride it before winter..

I know that the whole step 1, step 2, step 3 process would be the best way to go but I have an illness when it comes to buying parts...

I recognize that I have a problem (usually the first step) - it's just that I'm completely unwilling to change in any way my behavior related to it!
