i just realized that one of the wires going to my bystarter is cut. so i took the one off my old 92 and put it on there. now it dont want to run right.
now i got it starting and running, but to keep it running i have to have the idle screw in all the way. even then it hardly idles.

i feel dumb saying this because i should know, but whats the bads of running a junk bystarter?
im at $0.27 and i believe both my 96 and my 92 bystarters are shoot. That or im to inpatient. Whats if i just throw on in there and dont plug it in. I know its not ok, but what will happen?

If you can get the bystarter back in, with enough parts present that it is in the extended (warmed up) position, and electrically unhooked, shouldn't cause any big problems. It's just a carb with no cold start aids.
Your hand on the airbox can give it choke, (or starter fluid). I know you'd automatically goose the throttle a bit if needed until it warms up. That would do ok here in the PNW.
amazing speed, me and my friend where out cruising around 40mph, i gunned it and left him in the dust. I mean, its no top end corsa 72. But for being what it is, it packs a punch.
i took it down the road, it was acting really weird, coming back it would hardly run. it died out maybe 200 feet from my house so i just pushed it home. It was another problem i would rather not talk about, but i will anyway. when i had the carb all apart, i cleaned everything put it on the bike and then tested the bystarter. Turns out i forgot to tighten the carb back up.
