I used fine sandpaper to give a texture for the paint to stick. It seems to work great but I had black dust in my lungs for a few weeks after that.

i used that fusion paint and it seems to work well.after i cleaned that front panel with acetone the paint finally stuck. the only problem with that paint is it is real wattery and runny.if you take your time it works well. i will try to get pics when it is finished, but im not sure how to get them here.

My guess is some kind of silicon like Armor All. There are compounds that will remove all traces of it. I paint autos quite a bit and silicon is one of those things that NOTHING sticks to. Auto paint thinner works for me.

They make a special plastic paint prep, sold at auto paint shops. I always use this stuff for prep work. Thinner works OK on steel, but will melt the factory finish on the SMC spree parts.

Did adding a stereo place a stressful burden on your electrical system? This bike seems so fragile that it can run the bike and that's about it. What is the draw from a car stereo?

u cant use a dead batt because the alt only charges at a certain speed. my advice is wire it into the headlight. the only problem with that is after u shut the bike off u lose all of ur pre-sets

Not true with the presets. Stereos have two power leads, ignition and battery. Run the ignition off the yellow headlight wire and the little amount of battery left should be enough to retain the presets.

usually presets are stored with 2 AA batteries.
