still a carb proble. thats not what i was talking about. there are 3 pieces to the float. the float, the float pin, and the float needle. that small needle is a valve. make sure you have it. the float holds it and it is located on a little hole next to the pin. make sure it is fitting into the float guide nicely and operates back and fourth with the float. oil wont do anything on this. to be honest i would clean it off because it might do more harm then good.

you cant tell the float valve goes under the float it self and it connected to the inder side of the float by a groove.

Before you do anything tighten the screw that I marked in the photo. This is a drain needle.

Your gonna need that float needle for the carb to run right. Also make sure your carb gasket is in good shape.

ok, let me repeat.. i have no idea what a carb should look like, so i dont know if there are any parts missing, or where the specific parts are.

but these picture are of the float assembly... thats all that was in there... no other parts
that picture shows the floater, and the floater pin.. but no float needle... where is it/should it be??
Image

this is a picture with the floater and float pin removed... is the float needle supposed to be somewhere under that???

WELL ITS NOT!
