I noticed my fan rubbed a hole in the engine shroud. Think I might take a look at the key.

update

flywheel key was intact and all looked good.

I went to the other side and took the clutches off. Is this normal? The driven clutch pads look like a pad on a pad? If I measure just the top portion of pad I only have about.010", if I measure both it easily meets spec. Hope I'm explaining this enough for everyone to understand.

what do I measure, the thickness of the "top" pad where I have red lines? If so my pads are waaaay too thin. Would this cause acceleration problems?

It's hard to tell from the photo, but it looks to be all the same composition. I am assuming this is a NEW clutch pad. Given time that top portion will wear down and you won't even know it was there.

Greetings:

I believe you are to measure the thickness of the material, looking at it from the side, from the metal shoe to the surface of the friction material. If it were a parenthesis (Parenthisum?- is singular?? ) you'd measure the thickness of the

")" looking on edge. Your pics don't show what to measure. You need to "close the laptop screen" and look from that direction.
