You shouldn't flip reeds over. The metal reeds can get a crease and break, which is never good have metal pieces going thru your motor. Carbon fiber will break too, but they just go thru the motor hurting nothing.

I did flip them. I read somewhere on this board some one did it and it helped. Not on mine it didn't.
I just finished putting in my spare reeds. Took a bit to get it started. I had to readjust the air mix a bit. Still a bit sluggish if I go full throttle. I have to back off for it to 'catch up', if that makes any sense.
Another thing I noticed when it was on the stand: the wheel stops spinning very quickly- as if the brakes are dragging.
