Just found my dads compression tester..It's pushin 100. That's ok right?

114 psi is minimum.

you buy a compression tester, thread it in to your plug hole, and crank in engine for about 15 sec. or about 10 kicks.

100 does seem low.

I would take it apart and look at the piston rings

Yah..100 psi (with throttle wide open) is to low for a bbk in my opinion.. keep kickin it over till the needle wont move anymore bryan.

Check head bolts to make sure they're still tight. 8 ft lb's i beleive is correct torque for them but check manual to be sure!

The fuel wont flow outta hose with fuel filter on it, UNLESS you suck on the hose thats below it.. Its a vacuum operated petcock.. The bottom hose requires vacuum in order to open, and allow fuel to flow..so thats why ya aint gettin fuel through it when you let it hang-dangle.
