My hand me down shock will not allow me due to a larger coil diameter. Going to pick up another shock so I can use my fatty ruckus wheel.

Thanks Mystic I just like to make things even better. If I have a lather machine or have to a CNC I would be happy for the rest of my life. Lol!

By the way I never imagine this Metro hitting 45mph with with exhaust mod and stock main drilling. . Going to buy a cdi and polini variator to get up to 50+ mph. Plead don't say that it is impossible because it is not. Honda power *!

The older Mets also have a Rev limiter restriction in the ECU as well as the variator.

Newer Mets do around 45mph stock...

Update:

1, This now goes 50mph GPS confirmed!
2, No CDI as of right now but I bet once the CDi is installed it will be much faster and pick will be much smoother with a better timing.
3, Ruckus swingarm and Met taller gears.
4, Stock motor 0 variator mod and mostly weight experimentations. I did install a Posh Kevlar belt which improved my top end.
5, Very much this Honda GET motor is stock.

@ Wheelman, thanks brother! As you already know the original Mets only have a couple restrictions carb jets and intake gasket restrictor. While the Met2 are heavily restricted with the above and a different ecu, cams, and exhaust and will not get exceed 30+. Now, as far as the CDI's are concerned there are a lot of people and I have friends who goes through CDi because of burning out. Unfortunately, the CDI's are sealed which makes repairing impossible. I am trying to stay away from using a CDI for now since I seem to be improving the speed by just tuning. Majority of the CDI's are all in the same price range. My combination right now prevents me from hitting rev limit due to Met gears and a Ruckus rear wheel.
The newer Mets will do 45mph but it will take forever to get there unless you have tail wind or going down hill. My idea is to throw a DIO motor but thats all it will ever be, a dream or an idea. lol!

I dunno 'bout yours, Dawg, but my brother's '04 Met I (NOT the restricted Met II) seems hard-wired not to exceed 42MPH groundspeed. I've only ridden it a couple of times and never taken it down for inspection. I don't know if the ECM talks to the speedometer or to the transmission output shaft or what?

What I do know is that running downhill with the throttle grip pegged Wide Open, you can hear the sound of the engine losing power as the speedometer just tops 43 MPH, which is 70 KPH in Japanese. Whether that happens as a result of a vacuum blow-off valve dropping the secondary throttle, ignition timing retard/shut-down or what I'm not sure, but you can pretty much drive it off a cliff and it won't go much faster than 40.

That makes me wonder how yours gets to 50 with the stock electronics. Are they all stock?

It is rev limited so swapping to heavier weights prevents you from hitting rev limit.

Yosh exhaust, upjet, no airbox, and standard NGK sparkplug, Met gears (Very tall gears)

Well I did remove my front turn signals and painted it with primer so I think those contributed to my 50mph journey.

You can also slightly shave the drive face.

Ruckus motor and Met motor are the same. The ECU's are different.

I was hitting around 50mph as well with the stock motor, but it takes forever to get there. I hade the Polini Variator, shaved, drive face, 5.5g rollers, polini belt, intake and exhaust.

GY6 is the way to go guys
