again not for certain but i believe you can only get stock, they made those things from the early 80s till 2000 something without much changes so parts are really easy to get. have you tried babbitsonline.com?

Thanks again, the grease may be the problem for the flat roller, hope someone here can comfirm it.
I think bear's honda dealer has the best price for the roller, only thing they ship UPS for every thing, last time it took more than 1 week to get a gaskets, if they send post office, should only take 3-5 days, I'll order from them again, before I order, did the roller has choice or just stock only?
Remove the grease from the variator. It does cause flat rollers. Honda only has the stock rollers. I believe the CH 80 uses the same size rollers as the Aero 80 which is 14 X 18, at least they use the same ramp plate. Oh and the 14 X 18 rollers are available aftermarket, on flea-bay, etc.

Just look the service manual, the drive face should apply some light grease, but should NOT be like sh*t that I found on mine, and also, who even service this before didn't put the ramp plate guide back. after I remove all those sh*t grease and found 2 of the 3 metal tap was broke  Think I need the whole drivr face with roller.

The service manual is WRONG. It took Honda a lot of years to figure it out. On top of that there are new materials out there that will wear the metal and not the plastic, UMHW is one of them. Oh and the problem with using any grease is you have to keep the O-ring and the rear plate, which restricts the the variator movement. Removing the rear plate is part of hop up 101.

Ok, Good thing has someone point it out the error on the manual.

The one held on my the 3 little bolts. Honda calls it a "SEAL, MOVABLE FACE".

a little grease behind the final part of the drive face next to the crank won't hurt and will keep the crank seal moist :D apply conservatively :P

Don't want to pop your bubble of lack of knowledge on 2 strokes again, but that seal is keeping 2 stoke oil inside the engine and if that isn't enough lube to keep it soft and pliable than a little grease on the outside ain't gonna get the job done, ever. Besides that any grease flying around under the belt cover will eventually end up on the belt, causing what? A big problem? Image

In that case, the crankcase oil in on the inside of the crank seal and the grease on the out side is a waste of time and asking to trouble. So in either case he is full of crap as you would have know if you had used you head for something other than a hat rack.

yea well your knowledge is hit and miss too buddy, why dont you just take a long walk off a short pier :P I apply a little grease there and I have had no problems, * the honda man said to put grease all in the the movable drive face with the roller weights pre 93. Wrenching is not an exact sience, each and every day an idea is improved upon.. you are just an *.
