You can not just remove the stock air cleaner and install an aftermarket one. You must rejet or you will lean out the motor and kill it.

Re: 1986 Honda Aero Project
Greetings:
My exhaustive searching failed to find any source for jets that fit the PA Series Honda-exclusive carbs. Even Keihin website and Jets R Us never heard of these things.
Honda-san likes Part Numbers: 99101-187-0**0, where the **s are the jet size. For Aero, they come in 82, 85, and 88 for use with a Pod filter. Daytona makes kits up to 105 - you can get them at DayWOT on eBay, among other sources.

Re: 1986 Honda Aero Project
I have no idea what size the main jet is. But I put the old filter back on, but now I need to readjust my carb.. For some reason I cant get it now, like it idols fine I think but once I hit higher speeds it starts to bog out.

Re: 1986 Honda Aero Project
It looks GREAT! What kind of paint did you use? How did you apply it? How did you prep the plastics before painting?
(I have an 85 Aero that could use a new paint job. Runs ok, but kinda ugly.
