I don't think the fuse is in the circuit for the starter. Might control CDI (spark.) Available at auto parts store.
What's wrong with the plug? Check to see if your spark plug wire cap is screwed down onto the wire. Trim the wire a bit if the connection is rough.

If someone in the past tried to jam the plug wire end onto a plug with the cap still in place, it can bend the retainer springs in the cap so it will not go on or will be loose.ringLord4 wrote:My spark plug already has the top off it.
