If you have the plug out and touching unpainted metal while you kick it, you should be able to see if it is sparking.
That will eliminate the key switch, kill switch, pickup,cdi,and stator as your problem.

I suspect that running it with no airbox has caused your engine to run lean (very hot)
You may have caused some damage to the piston and rings.
Lets hope not.

A compression test will let you know if any internal damage is done.

ok. i put a new spark plug on, it sparks, then when i put it on and try to start it.... nothing. its got good compression, and i did not up the jet.

wait... im such an idiot. i held my finger over the the spot where the spark plug goes and it seemed to have compression. as i said before. please pardon my ignorance

That tells you nothing. An engine with 40 PSI compression will blow your finger of, but will NEVER run. Either use a compression gauge and check it properly or
