Update!! I have tried getting the spree to run without the exhaust to see if it was colgged. it didnt start so thats not the problem. i also checked the reeds to see if they were clean and functioning properly and they were. so i guess all i have left to do is compressions test to confirm if it is or is not the top cylinder.

You need a filter ..

Some Sprees refuse to start without the air filter attached. So No it may not start without the air filter.

what if i try starting it with my hand over the air intake and it still doesnt start??? isnt that what the airfilter does restrcits the air flow just enough to get a suction?

Same as you have been told before.

1. Compression

2. Spark and at the right time.

3. Fuel and you still don't know if your carb is supplying fuel.

If you do what is asked of you this will go quicker. You lack the skills and knowledge to fix this, yet you keep second guessing everyone. It does not make for a good working relationship. And i haven't been this nice about this type of thing since............NEVER!

I got you bear. not trying too second guess just dont want to dump alot of money in something i might not get going. i have a guy on CL who is going to sell me a air box and a new exhaust pipe (since the spree didnt come with a stock one) im also getting a compression kit (with all the pieces....) tomorow, and i bought the inline spark tester aswell so tomorow hopefully ill be able to confirm some things. I appreciate everyones help Thanks~!

Alright Guys i did a inline spark checker and it passed. (atleast i think the light blinked strong over and over as the engine tried to turn over). So i finally got a compression tester and anfd tested the compression and it didnt even break 15 psi. so i think that the problem.... So should i pull the head and take some pictures and post em and decided whether i just need new ring.. or have to replace the whole thing.. Any advice will be greatly appreciated on tips to working on the top end this is new territory for me but im excited to learn something new!!! thanks guys!

Alright i finaly have the stock airfilter and stock exhaust pipe installed on the bike. the compression gauge is only picking up 15psi max... so tomorow morning i will pull the head before work and check everything ill also post pics. Thanks guys!

Here's pics of my top end piston has some damage on one of it too rings.. Do I need to replace it or everything?
