With the air flow restricted in the intake it would be similar to running smaller inlet ports. The engine would have good throttle response and low down torque but it would strangle the top end range. The more I read up on 2 stroke engines the more I realise how sensative they are to tune and set up properly...

yes but im only going to 23mm from 17mm. my thoughts are that there wont me to much of a change in diameters

Do the math, 6 mm increase is a huge increase in area, which equates to a huge increase in air flow.

what gear ratio? you still have to premix cuz that bore runs hot, i would also buy a pipe.

Yes i already run particial pre-mix in the stock engine now. Yes i already have a pipe for it Tell me your email so i can send you pics.

preferbly on the stock intake. i rly just dont want to fork out 200 bucks for a carb kit. i want one that can runn a 78cc kit and a expansion chamber pipe

To do it properly you need the CT intake, your stock intake and reeds (even aftermarket ones) will restrict any carb improvement you would get with a bigger carb.
Taz sells an intake and 24 mm carb for the Spree and Early Elite that will work or there is this one on flea-bay.

Im buying all my other parts from him so i just id get that one and pay the extra price since ill get it alot faster.
