Greetings:

Sleeperscoot, you sound an awful lot like a certain bloviating, self-aggrandizing-without-evidence, antagonistic Annoyance who used to post a steady stream of pointless remarks on this Forum. If you have so much experience, why not use your new Identity to post something that's actually useful?

hahhaha Wheels :P BTT I know a lot of people on this forum swear by the OKOs and bigger carbs but most of the time they just use more gas than needed and leak like a sieve. The 17.5, 19, and 21mm carbs are designed for these engines but hardly anyone uses them. I dont get it myself. They use less gas and are way easy to tune. I can see a large carb on a stroker motor with a huge exhaust and free flow filter but not on a 70cc build. Just about every other moped and scooter you can upgrade to 70cc uses 17.5 to 21 mm carbs so why does everyone go for the oko 24-30mm??

I would say because of the lackluster power of the 19mm arechi isnt enough for me is why I use the 24s. If I were using the scoot for everyday driving maybe Id use the smaller carb, but I only ride them for fun.
Ive ran both on the Corsa and my results were very dissatisfying. Its not only the top end that the smaller carbs lose but the low end as well. Yeah the 19 got "better" gas mileage but in the end it felt restricted and held back. Youve ran the big carbs I think, Im surprised you dont feel the same. In the end, not everyone rides the same way tho.

I like low end and midrange myself, I only use the top end on long stretches or to pass slow moving cars hahah I drive mine daily sometimes for fun but most of the time to run errands around town so a strong reliable 0-35 is what I like, cruise at 40. So I guess for those speeds and gas consumption the smaller carbs are more suited to my personal needs. Top end is great when I wanna show off or make peoples eyes fall out when I pass them :D it seems to me the larger the carb the harder it is to maintain those 0-25 speeds when in town, its either idle or 35mph lol

Greetings:

The. OKO 26 sure isn't Clean at part throttle, steady 30-40 cruising, but gives substantial extra push at WOT. Enough so I overlook its low-end shortcomings. (can't overlook the leak anymore though) 24 is probably the best compromise for me, but I just bought the VM 26 Mik to try out. I WANT TO HAVE IT ALL!! Not a single clue what jets to try first.??
